WITCHES' BALL IN VILADRAU

Every autumn, the small Catalan village of Viladrau, nestled in the oak forests of Montseny, transforms into a realm where the past meets the present, and mysticism merges with celebration.

The Witches’ Ball (Fira de les Bruixes) is more than a festival—it’s a living memory of the times when wise women and healers gathered beneath the trees to share herbal knowledge, offer remedies, and simply be themselves.

Today, this magical gathering is alive with rituals, music, costumes, street performances, mystical markets, and workshops on herbalism, tarot, ancient crafts, and feminine wisdom. The air is filled with the scent of forest, steaming potions, rustling cloaks, and whispered spells.

Drums echo through the narrow village streets, candles flicker, and witches in red and black roam freely. Step into the circle, release the old, embrace the new, and become part of something timeless.

This is a celebration of intuition, power, and remembrance.

You are invited to the 29th Witches’ Ball, taking place in the main square of Viladrau. You’ll have the chance to create your magical look and enjoy a whimsical photoshoot. We’ll then attend the evening theatrical performance. The night concludes with a dinner back at Villa Santa Rosa—grilled meats and vegetables, good wine, and a magical fire.
